Berg’s setup flow is built around hosted sign-in and household membership. Once you are signed in and attached to a household, the app opens into the shared workspace.
The first-time experience has three major steps: authenticate, finish your profile details, and create or join a household.
The onboarding screen is built around hosted authentication rather than app-managed passwords. Depending on the environment you are using, you may see email magic link plus Google, Facebook, and Apple sign-in options.
When you enter your email address and request a sign-in link, Berg sends a hosted magic link. Opening that link completes authentication without making you manage a separate Berg password.
Some sign-in providers depend on backend and dashboard configuration, so the exact set of working buttons can differ between builds and environments.
After authentication, Berg asks for the basics it needs to place you in a household correctly.
If the sign-in provider supplies profile information, Berg may prefill part of this form for you.
The setup screen lets you switch between two modes: create a new household or join an existing one.
Enter a household name and continue. This typically makes you the initial admin for that household.
Enter the invite code directly, or sign in first and then open the invite link you were sent. Berg can prefill the pending invite code after authentication.
Once your account is authenticated and attached to a household, Berg loads the main app shell. From there, you can use the top-left menu to switch between Agenda, Locations, Meals, and Settings.
