Profile and Theme
The Profile section shows your current display name and email address. It also includes the app theme picker,
so you can choose between available appearance modes such as light, dark, or system behavior.
Profile photos are managed here too. Adults can manage their own photo on iPhone or iPad. Child
profile photos stay parent-managed, and full child accounts can submit a pending request for admin approval.
Connected Sign-In Methods
Berg can show which sign-in methods are already linked to your account and, when available, offers paths
for connecting supported methods so you can keep access simple over time.
Subscription
The Subscription section shows the current plan and the plan comparison view used throughout Berg. This
is the fastest place to confirm whether Family or Family+ features should be available in your household.
That includes plan-based history windows, the free Google Calendar sync limit, iCloud and additional
calendar sync, Smart Import, and the premium Family+ capacity and history tools.
Calendar Sync
Calendar sync settings are managed separately from sign-in providers so each person can connect their
own calendar accounts. Free households include one Google Calendar sync, while Family and Family+
include iCloud and additional synced calendars.
- Connect supported provider accounts from Settings.
- Choose which provider calendars sync into Berg.
- Request a provider sync when you need a fresh pull.
- Disconnect a provider account when it should no longer feed Berg.
Berg TV
Berg TV lets admins pair an Apple TV as a read-only household display for calendar, weather, time,
and photos. Open Berg TV on Apple TV, then enter or scan the pairing code from Settings.
- Pair a new Apple TV with the six-digit code or QR scanner on iPhone.
- Name the display so the household can recognize it later.
- Add a ZIP code for local weather on the TV dashboard.
- Optionally paste a shared Google Photos album link for rotating photos.
Family Management
- See the current family name.
- Review the household member list.
- Create invites if you are an admin and have remaining member or admin capacity on the current plan.
- Create managed child members without requiring the child to have their own email account yet.
- Review and manage parent-managed child profile-photo requests when available.
- See pending invite codes plus household seat and admin-seat usage against the current plan.
Some settings, like editing the family name or creating invites, are restricted to admins. The same
admin boundary also matters for household AI actions and parent-managed child location controls.
Privacy and Data
Berg includes a dedicated privacy section in Settings rather than forcing users to leave the app for everything.
- Read the privacy policy link.
- Review account and data controls.
- Export current household data as JSON.
- Delete your account from inside the app.
Deletion behavior
If you are the last admin in a multi-member household, Berg asks you to choose a successor before deleting your account.
Location and AI controls stay explicit
Location sharing remains optional, and Berg documents that clearly in-app. For paid AI tools, Berg stores
only the structured results you confirm rather than the raw files submitted for the task.
About and Account Actions
Settings also includes the app version display, the sign-out action, and the public links that matter
for support, privacy, pricing, and account deletion.
